1 યહોવા મહાન છે, આપણ દેવના નગરમાં અને તેમનાં પવિત્ર પર્વતો પર તેમની ધણી સ્તુતિ થાય છે.
2 કેવું સિયોન પર્વતની ઊંચાઇએ આવેલું અતિ સુંદર નગર; આખી પૃથ્વીના આનંદરૂપ, મહાન રાજાનું નગર, સર્વ લોકો જોઇ શકે તેવું, રમ્ય, આનંદરૂપ દ્રશ્ય, કેવું અદૃભૂત છે!
3 તે નગરના મહેલોમાં દેવ આશ્રયની જગા તરીકે ઓળખાય છે.
4 પૃથ્વીના સર્વ રાજાઓ એકત્ર થયા, અને એકત્ર થઇ સૌ નગર પર કૂચ કરીને ગયા.
5 જ્યારે તેઓએ તે જોયું ત્યારે તેઓ સૌ વિસ્મય પામી ગયા, ભયથી ગભરાઇ ગયાં તેથી ઝડપથી પાછા ચાલ્યા ગયા.
6 તેમને ભયથી ધ્રુજારી થઇ ગઇ અને પ્રસૂતિની પીડા જેવું કષ્ટ થયું.
7 દેવ તમે તેમને બરાબર એવી રીતે ધ્રુજાવ્યા જેમ તમે પૂર્વનાં શકિતશાળી વાયુ વડે તાશીર્શનાં વહાણોને ભાંગી નાંખો છો.
8 આપણે દેવની શકિત વિષે સાંભળ્યું છે. આપણે તેને સૈન્યોના યહોવા દેવના નગરમાં, આપણા દેવના નગરમાં, હવે તે આપણે પોતે નિહાળીએ છીએ યરૂશાલેમનું સદાકાળ માટે દેવે સ્થાપન કર્યુ છે.
9 હે યહોવા, તમારા મંદિરમાં તમારી અચળ કૃપા વિષે અમે મનન કર્યુ છે.
10 હે દેવ, સમગ્ર પૃથ્વી પર તમારું નામ જાણીતું છે, પૃથ્વીની સીમા પર્યંત તમારી સ્તુતિ થાય છે; તમારો જમણો હાથ ન્યાયીપણાથી ભરેલો છે.
11 તમારા ન્યાયનાં કાર્યોથી સિયોન પર્વત આનંદ પામશે અને યહૂદિયાનાં નગરો હરખાશે.
12 સિયોનની આસપાસ પ્રદક્ષિણા કરો; અને તેના બુરજોની ગણતરી કરો.
13 તેનો કોટ ધ્યાનથી જુઓ, તેના મહેલોની મુલાકાત લો; જેથી તમે તે વિષે તમારાં સંતાનોને કહી શકો.
14 કારણ, આ દેવ આપણા સનાતન દેવ છે જે આપણને સદાય દોરી જશે.
