Isaiah 55:10 (ERVEN) Easy to Read - English

1 "All you people who are thirsty, come! Here is water for you to drink. Don't worry if you have no money. Come, eat and drink until you are full! You don't need money. The milk and wine are free.
2 Why waste your money on something that is not real food? Why should you work for something that does not really satisfy you? Listen closely to me, and you will eat what is good. You will enjoy the food that satisfies your soul.
3 Listen closely to what I say. Listen to me so that you will live. I will make an agreement with you that will last forever. It will be an agreement you can trust, like the one I made with David — a promise to love him and be loyal to him forever.
4 I made David a witness of my power for all nations. I promised him that he would become a ruler and commander of many nations."
5 There are nations in places you don't know, but you will call for them to come. They don't know you, but they will run to you. This will happen because the Lord, your God, wants it. It will happen because the Holy One of Israel honors you.
6 So you should look for the Lord before it is too late. You should call to him now, while he is near.
7 Evil people should stop living evil lives. They should stop thinking bad thoughts. They should come to the Lord again, and he will comfort them. They should come to our God because he will freely forgive them.
8 The Lord says, "My thoughts are not like yours. Your ways are not like mine.
9 Just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts." This is what the Lord himself said.
10 "Rain and snow fall from the sky and don't return until they have watered the ground. Then the ground causes the plants to sprout and grow, and they produce seeds for the farmer and food for people to eat.
11 In the same way, my words leave my mouth, and they don't come back without results. My words make the things happen that I want to happen. They succeed in doing what I send them to do.
12 "So you will go out from there with joy. You will be led out in peace. When you come to the mountains and hills, they will begin singing. All the trees in the fields will clap their hands.
13 Large cypress trees will grow where there were thornbushes. Myrtle trees will grow where there were weeds. All this will happen to make the Lord known, to be a permanent reminder of his goodness and power."

3 Incline H5186 your ear H241 , and come H1980 W-VQI2MP unto H413 PREP-1MS me : hear H8085 VQI2MP , and your soul H5315 CFS-2MP shall live H2421 ; and I will make H3772 an everlasting H5769 NMS covenant H1285 NFS with you , even the sure H539 mercies H2617 of David H1732 .
4 Behold H2005 IJEC , I have given H5414 him for a witness H5707 to the people H3816 , a leader H5057 NMS and commander H6680 to the people H3816 .
5 Behold H2005 IJEC , thou shalt call H7121 VQI2MS a nation H1471 NMS that thou knowest H3045 VQY2MS not H3808 ADV , and nations H1471 that knew H3045 VQY2MS not H3808 ADV thee shall run H7323 VQY3MP unto H413 PREP-2MS thee because H4616 L-CONJ of the LORD H3068 EDS thy God H430 CMP-2MS , and for the Holy One H6918 of Israel H3478 ; for H3588 CONJ he hath glorified H6286 thee .
6 Seek H1875 ye the LORD H3068 EDS while he may be found H4672 , call H7121 ye upon him while he is H1961 near H7138 :
7 Let the wicked H7563 AMS forsake H5800 his way H1870 CMS-3MS , and the unrighteous H205 NMS man H376 W-NMS his thoughts H4284 : and let him return H7725 unto H413 PREP the LORD H3068 EDS , and he will have mercy H7355 upon him ; and to H413 PREP our God H430 , for H3588 CONJ he will abundantly H7235 pardon H5545 .
8 For H3588 CONJ my thoughts H4284 are not H3808 NADV your thoughts H4284 , neither H3808 W-NADV are your ways H1870 my ways H1870 , saith H5002 the LORD H3068 NAME-4MS .
9 For H3588 CONJ as the heavens H8064 NMP are higher H1361 than the earth H776 , so H3651 ADV are my ways higher H1361 VQQ3MP than your ways H1870 , and my thoughts H4284 than your thoughts H4284 .
10 For H3588 CONJ as H834 K-RPRO the rain H1653 D-NMS cometh down H3381 , and the snow H7950 from H4480 PREP heaven H8064 D-NMD , and returneth H7725 VQY3MS not H3808 NADV thither H8033 , but H518 PART watereth H7301 the earth H776 D-GFS , and maketh it bring forth H3205 and bud H6779 , that it may give H5414 W-VQQ3MS seed H2233 NMS to the sower H2232 , and bread H3899 to the eater H398 :
11 So H3651 ADV shall my word H1697 CMS-1MS be H1961 VQY3MS that H834 RPRO goeth forth H3318 VQY3MS out of my mouth H6310 M-CMS : it shall not H3808 ADV return H7725 VQY3MS unto H413 PREP-1MS me void H7387 ADV , but H518 PART it shall accomplish H6213 VQQ3MS that which H834 RPRO I please H2654 VQQ1MS , and it shall prosper H6743 in the thing whereto H834 RPRO I sent H7971 it .
12 For H3588 CONJ ye shall go out H3318 with joy H8057 , and be led forth H2986 with peace H7965 : the mountains H2022 and the hills H1389 shall break forth H6476 before H6440 you into singing H7440 , and all H3605 W-CMS the trees H6086 CMP of the field H7704 D-NMS shall clap H4222 their hands H3709 .
13 Instead H8478 NMS of the thorn H5285 shall come up H5927 VQY3MS the fir tree H1265 , and instead H8478 NMS of the brier H5636 shall come up H5927 VQY3MS the myrtle tree H1918 : and it shall be H1961 W-VQQ3MS to the LORD H3068 L-EDS for a name H8034 , for an everlasting H5769 NMS sign H226 L-CMS that shall not H3808 NADV be cut off H3772 .
